North Coast

This region encompasses the counties of Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake with portions of Marin and Solano. It is approximately 160 kilomitres long and 80 kilomitres wide and is home to nearly half the total number of wineries in the state.
It is a landscape of rugged Pacific ocean coastline, ancient redwood forests, native oaks and carpets of vines covering hillsides and valley floors.
